Nickle Alloy Flat Welding Flange Hastelloy X Resistor Thermocouple Crusher Parts

Nickle Alloy Flange, also known as a flange rim or flange, is a part that connects pipes to each other at the ends, and it is also used on equipment inlets and outlets for connecting two pieces of equipment, such as a reducer flange. A flange connection or flange joint refers to a detachable connection consisting of a flange, gasket, and bolt, which together form a combined sealing structure.

Welding Process:

  • Required Equipment: A set of manual arc welding equipment, one handle-type angle grinder, one electric air hammer, and one straight edge.
  • Folding Welding Preparation: 1. Check and adjust the equipment to ensure normal operation; 2. Prepare φ4.0 J402 welding rods, which are preferably dried at 300°C - 350°C for one hour.
  • Folding Welding Process: 1. Assemble the cone and the large flange according to the drawing requirements, then divide the large flange into 8 equal parts; 2. Welding due to the thicker flange and larger groove, the use of segmental symmetrical, multi-layer welding is adopted.
  • Folding Welding Quality Requirements: The weld strength must at least match the strength of the base material. The weld surface should be flat and smooth, without defects such as burn-through, porosity, welding leaks, slag inclusion, undercutting, or incomplete welding. The weld reinforcement height should be less than 2mm.
  • Folding Notes for Attention: 1. When welding the base layer, always use J506 welding rod manual surfacing and welding with a small current. Strictly follow the welding process; 2: After welding each position, use a level to check the deformation of the flange plane; 3: While welding, use the air hammer to strike the weld to eliminate stress.

Hastelloy B3:

A nickel-base alloy with an exceptional combination of oxidation resistance, fabricability and high-temperature strength.

Strong and Oxidation Resistance:

HASTELLOY X alloy is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy that possesses an exceptional combination of oxidation resistance, fabricability and high-temperature strength. It has also been found to be exceptionally resistant to stress-corrosion cracking in petrochemical applications. X alloy exhibits good ductility after prolonged exposure at temperatures of 1200, 1400, 1600°F (650, 760 and 870°C) for 16,000 hours.

Easily Fabricated:

HASTELLOY X alloy has excellent forming and welding characteristics. It can be forged and, because of its good ductility, can be cold worked. X alloy can be welded by both manual and automatic methods including shielded metal arc (covered electrodes), gas tungsten arc (TIG) and gas metal arc (MIG). The alloy can also be resistance welded.

ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code:

ASTELLOY X alloy plate, sheet, strip, bar, tubing and pipe are covered by ASME specifications SB-435, SB-572, SB-619, SB-622 and SB-626 under UNS Number N06002.

Heat-Treatment:

Wrought forms of HASTELLOY X alloy are furnished in the solution heat-treated condition unless otherwise specified. X alloy is solution heat-treated at 2150°F (1177°C) and rapid cooled. Bright annealed products are cooled in hydrogen.

Available in Convenient Forms:

HASTELLOY X alloy is available in the form of plate, sheet, strip, billet, bar, wire, covered electrodes, pipe and tubing.

Useful for Aircraft, Furnace and Chemical Process:

Components X alloy has wide use in gas turbine engines for combustion zone components such as transition ducts, combustor cans, spray bars and flame holders as well as in afterburners, tailpipes and cabin heaters. It is recommended for use in industrial furnace applications because it has unusual resistant to oxidizing, reducing and neutral atmospheres. Furnace rolls of this alloy were still in good condition after operating for 8,700 hours at 2150°F (1177°C). HASTELLOY X alloy is also used in the chemical process industry for retorts, muffles, catalyst support grids, furnace baffles, tubing for pyrolysis operations and flash drier components.
